Educational philosophy
At J-RICH Nursery & Primary School, we believe that quality education should help children develop both knowledge and confidence. Our academic approach provides children with structured learning experiences while encouraging curiosity, participation, creativity and independent thinking. From the early years through primary school, we provide age-appropriate learning experiences that support children's academic, social and personal development.
Curriculum
The curriculum follows an English-speaking academic tradition, adapted to the ages we serve: nurturing care in Day Care, play-based foundations in Nursery, and a stronger academic programme in Primary. Learning With Purpose Children learn best when they understand, participate and have opportunities to apply what they are taught. Our classrooms provide opportunities for pupils to listen, ask questions, practise new skills, work with others and develop their understanding through guided learning and practical activities. We aim to create an environment where children are encouraged to take an active role in their education.
Teaching & learning
Developing the Foundations for Learning The early years are an important period of development. Our nursery programme introduces children to the routines and experiences of school while developing essential early skills. Through age-appropriate activities, children are encouraged to develop: Communication and language Early literacy Early numeracy Creativity and imagination Social interaction Fine and gross motor skills Confidence and independence Listening and participation Learning at this stage is supported through exploration, play, creative activities and guided classroom experiences.
Assessment & progress
Progress is observed through daily classwork, conversation with families, and age-appropriate review. Specific assessment arrangements can be explained during admission.
Teacher support
Children are taught by staff who are trusted to be professional, experienced and attentive. Families meet the team as part of school life. Guidance That Makes Learning Meaningful Teachers play an important role in creating an engaging learning environment. At J-RICH, our staff aim to make lessons structured, understandable and encouraging while giving pupils opportunities to participate rather than simply observe. The goal is not only to help children complete their schoolwork, but to help them develop a positive attitude towards learning.
Learning resources
A Place to Learn, Explore and Grow J-RICH provides learning spaces designed around the everyday needs of children. Our school environment includes classrooms and learning areas where pupils can engage in lessons, practical activities and interaction with their teachers and classmates. The aim is to create an environment where children can concentrate on learning while feeling comfortable and supported.
